Boson Courseware Lab Pack for NetSim

A Lab Pack for NetSim is a free component of all Boson Courseware Kits. The Lab Pack allows you to perform the Courseware Lab Guide exercises in NetSim. Using the Lab Pack for NetSim is optional, as the labs can also be performed on real equipment. An active license of the corresponding NetSim 13 is required to use the Lab Pack for NetSim. 

How to activate your Courseware Lab Pack

1. Open your copy of NetSim installed on your computer.
   
   If you have purchased but not installed NetSim, use the download the NetSim Download Installer. Once installed, follow the steps listed below to active your NetSim and Lab Pack simultaneously. You will need the activation key(s) listed on your receipt.
   
   
2. Click on ‘Help’ in the application’s main menu.
   
   
   
3. Click on ‘Activate Keys…’ in the Help menu.
   
   
   
4. Enter all Courseware Lab Pack for NetSim Activation Keys (one per field) in the Activate Keys window. If you have not yet activated your full version NetSim product, you can do so now by entering the NetSim activation key here as well. (Activation Keys can be found on your Boson Purchase Receipt or should be provided by your training providers.) 
   
   
   
5. Click on the ‘Activate’ button.
6. After activation, located the labs by going to the 'Lab" tab on the main side menu. Then select 'Courseware' from the 'Select Lab Tree' drop-down list.
   

Troubleshooting Lab Pack Activation

I receive the error message, “One or more products activated require a minimum version of NetSim. Please verify you have entered all NetSim activation keys.”

I receive the error message, “You do not have the minimum NetSim product to complete this lab. One or more commands may not work as expected. Please verify you have entered all NetSim activation keys in Help -> Activate Keys.”

The message box is displayed when you have entered an activation key to unlock the Boson Courseware Lab Pack for NetSim but have not entered an activation key to unlock the full version of the appropriate NetSim product. Please refer to your receipt and enter all NetSim activation keys.
