NetSim is an excellent lab tool for Cisco exam prep. The labs are realistic, well-structured, and help reinforce key concepts through hands-on practice. It's a great alternative when physical gear or more complex simulators aren't available. Highly recommended for CCNA and CCNP students.
I like the simplicity of Boson's NetSim software, but when it comes to practical CCNP ENCOR prep, it's not enough. You get a lot of EtherChannel, FHRP, and STP practice, but apart from that content is lacking. There are no GRE/IPSEC tunnel labs, no QoS other than CoPP, no BGP other than the very basics (so no route maps or prefix lists), and the automation section would heavily benefit from a netconf/restconf lab. It's a good start for practical CCNP ENCOR study and comes in at a reasonable price compared to other solutions but you will need another lab resource to pass the exam. I also experienced frequent bugs, especially console environments freezing and requiring me to restart my lab from the beginning. The designer doesn't let you run your topology to test custom labs, which I found a little disappointing.
NetSim Boson Simulator has been an absolute game-changer for my networking studies. The cloud-based platform offers unparalleled convenience and flexibility, allowing me to access and use the simulator from anywhere with an internet connection. This has been a huge boon, as I can easily practice and experiment with network configurations on my laptop, tablet, or even my phone. One of the most impressive aspects of NetSim Boson Simulator is its budget-friendly structure. For the price, the simulator offers a wealth of features and capabilities. The training materials and labs are exceptionally detailed, providing a comprehensive understanding of various networking concepts. I've found the labs to be particularly helpful in solidifying my knowledge and applying theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. In conclusion, NetSim Boson Simulator is a highly recommended tool for anyone studying networking. Its cloud-based nature, affordability, and comprehensive training resources make it an ideal choice for both students and professionals.
It's very good and convenient.
just one thing if found very unfortunate: no port label view when running a topology. besides that it's awesome!
I've enjoyed my experience with Boson. The labs have assisted me with my learning.
Absolutely love it. The new updates as of 2024 turned a great product into an awesome one! Iโm thinking about getting the ccnp netsim as thatโs the next cert Iโm going for.
Fantastic, Iโve actually worked it into our corporate training program!
Labs are awesome. The labs are more related to what you will experience in a real-world scenario than what you will expect during the test.
They do an excellent job on these labs.
I used Boson to help me learn and pass my CCNA years ago, and now I find myself back here to work on my CCNP. I feel their offerings are top notch. This gives you a hands-on virtual lab in order to retain your skills. You can use the stock labs in this package, or you can create your own virtual labs and design them how you want. The platform now offers either a downloadable app (windows only) or an online web based option. I like the online option because I can study on my MAC or anywhere. Give yourself time to dedicate daily and you'll be test-ready in no time.
This is Phenomenal work for learning purposes. The only gripe I have is I wish the environment was setup differently. Itโs a bit weird.
So I paid for the lab and frankly, I am very satisfied with this. However, they do not include the pdf with it, It is like buying an automobile without an engine. I know that the lab info is online, but when you are using a single screen, it is very difficult to read when they are both loaded on the screen. This is not very practical. Had I known this lab was incomplete, I would have looked for a different product.
